Maria Luisa by Julio Sagreras, a very light heart and fun piece to play.
Fernando Sor stuy in B minor (opus 35 no. 2) or Segovia study no. 5.
This is one of the most played Etudes in the whole classical guitar repertoire.
It is usually called “Sor Study in B minor” because the key is B minor, or to be precise: “Fernando Sor op. 35 no. 22”. This piece was also chosen by the great Andrés Segovia as one of his “20 studies for guitar” book and this is number 5 in the book; hence it has another name: Segovia’s study no. 5. Andrés Segovia and Jullian Bream both have recorded this piece themselves.
Speaking about composition aspects, this piece is full of genius moments when it was really well crafted by maestro Sor. We can hear, among other composition techniques, the use of the deceptive cadence, the Italian Neopolitan 6th chord, the Italian augmented sixth chord, the tritone substitution chord that leads to the dominant, etc. This makes the piece interesting and has nice classical flavour.
